I can help you both within some broader areas and in my more specific areas of expertise. Broader areas can, for example, be: > To meet the changing external or internal demands, you need smaller or larger adjustments to your structural framework, i.e., strategy, organization, or processes. > You want your leaders and employees to find better ways to perform in a goal-oriented and efficient, but also healthy and sustainable manner - individually, in teams, and between teams.

My specific areas of expertise come into play especially when: > You are active in (international) B2B, especially if it concerns e.g. technical/technological solutions, and/or in a rational-intellectual field: scientific, academic, engineering, R&D, ... > You need a better balance between customer focus, profitability, and risk management - from sales to service - through, e.g., more professional contract negotiation and management. > You want to improve the cooperation and hand-overs between departments. > You want to further develop your sales, key account management, etc. > ... and also check my other specific experiences!

For you as a leadership team

In the short term, you must deal with the organization’s current challenges. This requires a 'project approach' where you together have to zoom out and in, combine constructive focus with critical thinking, see different perspectives to choose the best way forward. That in itself is anything but easy, but On top of that, in the long term you need to lead ongoing internal change to face the ever-evolving circumstances. This requires that you, as a team, also develop a strong ability to consciously "self-steer" your combined thinking, decision-making and action. And it doesn't even stop there ... All this you must do in the midst of operational reality! Very difficult, even with all your combined competences! You can see the advantages of sometimes working with a professional sparring partner/consultant, and you want to be sure that person has the required experience to help you in your particular situation.

What exactly can you expect from me?

My role is to help you really get going with a concrete action plan for your current challenge, and at the same time to also put the mentioned self-steering more into practice. Of course I will give input from my experience, but above all I will challenge, guide and support you to: > zoom out and in, maintain focus and overview > consistently differentiate between "must-have" and "nice-to-have" > consciously combine positive focus, critical thinking and realism > strengthen insight and respect for each other's perspectives, linked to your roles and personalities > and finally: not only deciding the next steps forward, but actually taking them!

So, what is specific about my consulting approach?

​ First, ideally I help my clients – as a team/organization – on two levels: > Dealing with their current change project (big or small) within one of my more specific or one of my broader areas of expertise (see above). > Developing a ‘self-steering’ that is effective and goal oriented, as well as healthy and sustainable. Here, the latter means the team’s steering of its own collaborative thinking, decision-making and actions. I use the word steering to emphasize that you do it actively and purposefully. This is achieved by combining increased insight with concrete practical methods and tools.

Then, when working with a team, I have, just as in my individual work, an approach that suits both the more rational-logically focused persons in the team as well as the more intuitively focused.

Change process? Consider also sparring/coaching of key persons!

 

In every change process, certain persons have a particularly significant impact on the success and smoothness of the project. This may be due to their formal role or their informal influence.

It is then often especially effective to combine consulting with individual sparring/coaching for those specific persons, so that they can contribute optimally in a way that also fits them!
